STEP 01

Find the Opportunity

One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is thinking remote work means applying to every job they see online.

It doesn't.

The first skill you need is knowing where to find legitimate opportunities and which opportunities actually match your skills.

Types of Online Work

There are different types of online work: AI training, data annotation, customer support, virtual assistance, writing, transcription, research, software development, design, chat moderation, and many others.

What You Need to Identify

  • What type of work is being offered?
  • What skills are required?
  • Which countries are eligible?
  • What experience is needed?
  • How much does the opportunity pay?
  • What is the payment method?
  • What does the application process involve?

Key Principle

Don't rush to click Apply just because you see a job opening.

Read first. Understand the opportunity. Then decide whether you're a good match.

The goal isn't to apply to 50 random opportunities. The goal is to find the right opportunities and apply strategically.

Finding opportunities is a skill on its own.
