Sample Tasks
Prompt Writing: Testing an AI Vision Model
A good prompt forces the AI to look closely and prevents it from guessing. Read the scenario, study the image, and judge which prompt would actually test the model.
Sample Task
Prompt Writing for Image Analysis
Two prompts were written for the same image. Read the scenario, study the graph, then score each prompt on how well it would make a vision model read the chart accurately.
Task: Prompt Writing and Image Analysis
The Scenario
You want to test an AI vision model to see if it can accurately read and interpret a complex graph. You need to write a prompt that forces the AI to pay close attention to the details and prevents it from hallucinating or giving a vague summary.
The Image
Monthly Sales: Product A vs Product B
Model A Prompt
"Look at this graph and tell me what it is about. What are the main trends you see? Summarize the data for me."
Model B Prompt
"Analyze the provided image of a line graph. 1. State the exact title of the graph. 2. Identify the labels on the X and Y axes. 3. List the items in the legend. 4. Look at the data for "Product A". In which month did it reach its highest point, and what was the exact value shown on the Y-axis? 5. Look at "Product B". Describe its overall trend. Do not guess any numbers that are not explicitly labeled."
Evaluation Criteria
CRITERION 01
Specificity and Constraints
Does the prompt tell the AI exactly what to look for, rather than asking a vague question?
CRITERION 02
Preventing Hallucinations
Does the prompt include instructions that prevent the AI from making up information?
CRITERION 03
Formatting Instructions
Does the prompt ask for the output in a structured, easy-to-verify way (for example, step by step)?
CRITERION 04
Testing Capability
Would the prompt actually test if the AI can read text and data from an image accurately?
CRITERION 05
Relevance
Is the prompt focused purely on the image provided?
Overall Preference
Which prompt is stronger for testing an AI vision model?
